Ingredients

  • Salmon
  • White wine
  • Onion
  • butter
  • Soy sauce
  • Sesame oil

Directions

I am not really a recipe person, but I usually put salmon filets in a mixture of soy sauce and sesame oil for at least 30 minutes (flipping it every once in a while). Then I put the salmon filets in a skillet that I have caramalized some onions in with butter. I pour water and some white wine or orange flavored vodka (in with the water) until it covers about 1/2 the fish. Bring it to a boil and then reduce to a simmer and pop a top on the skillet. You will know it is done when it flakes with a fork. You canremove the salmon and reduce the liquid and pour it over the salmon with the onions. Poaching is so great because the fish stays moist and it does not taste too "fishy". I hope you like it and I am sorry about the lack of exact directions.
