Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 lb. unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 1g. eggs
  • 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 1/2 c. old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. raisins - optional
  • 1 pkg. milk chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease cookie sheets. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg and set aside. In a large bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, sugar, eggs, and vanilla and beat on medium speed until well blended. Stir wet mixture into dry mixture, a little at a time, until well mixed. Stir in the oats, pecans, raisins, and chocolate chips. Drop on cookie sheet by heaping tablespoons about 2 or 3 inches apart and press dough down to about 1/2 inch thick. Bake about 6-9 minutes or until nicely browned. Remove from oven and cool about 2-3 minutes before removing. Cool on wire rack.

Yield: 4 dozen.
