I usually triple the recipe, simmer for a bit without the gravy, freeze, then finish with gravy when I use them.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 lb. ground pork
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup cream (canned milk can be substituted)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tbsp. grated onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 tsp. pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/8 tsp. each allsp9ce, cloves, ginger, nutmeg

Directions

Soak bread crumbs in cream, milk, and spices. Work into ground beef, pork, and eggs. Fry in ungreased skillet or bake in hot oven on sheet until browned. Make gravy, using powdered beef boullion. Simmer 45 min. to 1 hour.
