All of these ingredients are per your taste. My daughter doesn't like onions so I add a little onion powder. You don't have to use half a stick of butter you can use less than that. My family loves this. My father has made it for me for years. The milk will scald a bit in the bottom of pan but keep at a slow simmer until tender to eat.

Ingredients

  • potatoes
  • milk
  • celery (diced)
  • onion (diced)
  • milk
  • butter
  • salt & pepper
  • parsley

Directions

Peel and cube potatoes into bite size pieces; rinse well. In a pot melt 1/2 stick of butter and saute onions and celery. When onions and celery are tender, add potatoes and cover with milk and a couple shakes of parsley. Cook slowly until potatoes are tender and ready to eat.
