PUMPKIN SCONES Recipe | ||

| Ingredients:
1 tbsp. margarine
1 cup canned pumpkin 1/2 cup sugar 2 cups flour 4 tsp. baking powder Pinch of salt About 1/4 cup milk
Directions:
Mix margarine, sugar and pumpkin together. Pour into flour, baking powder and salt mixture. Mix well, adding enough milk to get the right consistency (at a point where flour is all worked in and it can be put on a floured board. Press out to about 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into squares. Glaze with milk or melted shortening. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from pan immediately. Serve with butter and jelly or sprinkle with powdered sugar. |
