Ingredients

  • 3 sticks butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

Mix butter and sugar in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.
Add eggs, vanilla extract, lemon extract, almond extract; mix well.
In another large bowl, mix flour, cream of tartar, salt, baking soda and nutmeg.
Slowly add your flour mixture to other mixture. Mix well.
Place bowl with dough in refrigerator overnight.
Roll dough on a floured surface. Cut with cookie cutters.
Bake on greased cookie sheet in preheated oven 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes about 60 cookies.
