English Toffee Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cubes butter
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoonful Karo or pancake syrup
1 cup granulated sugar

Directions:
add all ingredients together in skillet and cook on high. Stir constantly until bubbly. Mixture begins to brown. Pour onto cookie sheet and spred
to 1/4" thick. May melt chocolate chips and add nuts to the top. Crack into pieces by dropping pan onto counter.

My brother and I could eat a whole batch in one setting when we were teens. Now,it is hard to stop. This is so easy and so good. I don't ever bother with the chocolate and nuts. It is great plain.
