Fettuccine with Garlic Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, peeled and sliced
  • 1 fresh red chili pepper, sliced
  • 2 pounds large shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • 4 fresh basil leaves or 1 tsp. dried basil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 pound fettuccine

Directions:
1. Heat oil in frying pan. Add garlic and chili; saute for 1 minute. Add shrimp and cook over medium-high heat until shrimp turn pink, about 3 minutes. Add basil and salt.

2. Cook pasta in boiling salted water following package directions; drain.

3.Place fettuccine in heated serving bowl. Pour shrimp and oil remaining in pan on top; toss and serve piping hot. Serves 6
