Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

1 cup butter or marg.
1 cup gran. sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
21/4 cups flour(or a little more)
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
12 oz.choc. chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Cream together butter,sugar and van. until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs. Sift together flour,soda,salt and gradually add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Fold in choc.chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 10 min. or till light brown. Makes a soft cookie. Makes around 5 doz.cookies.
