Ingredients

  • Horseradish root
  • white wine vinegar
  • salt
  • sour cream

Directions

This is just a very basic recipe for fresh horseradish sauce.

Peel the horseradish root and cut into chunks. Put into blender and puree until a very fine consistency is reached. (Be careful when you open the lid as the smell is stong enough to knock your socks off!!)
Next add vinegar, salt, and sour cream. These are added until the desired texture and taste are achieved. The more sour cream you add, the milder it will be. Chill and serve. Keep refrigerated. Note that only a little root goes a long way...not much is needed to make a big bowl of horseradish.
