I bake the sprouts at whatever temperature everything else is in the oven at...usually 325'.

Ingredients

  • Brussels sprouts; salt; pepper.
  • 1)mushrooms, butter
  • 2) bacon, onions
  • 3) mushrooms, cheddar cheese sauce

Directions

Cook sprouts in a small amount of water in the microwave until they are crisp-tender. Drain and place in a buttered oven-proof dish.
1) fry sliced fresh mushrooms in butter until browned; add to sprouts and bake until sprouts are tender.
2)fry bacon until fat is partially rendered; add diced onions and cook until onions are browned and bacon is crisp; add to sprouts (including the bacon fat) and bake until sprouts are tender
3) fry mushrooms in butter until browned; add with cheddar cheese sauce to sprouts and bake.
Note:
Try to keep the sprouts from being overdone as that makes them into a foul-smelling and foul-tasting mush no matter what you try to do otherwise. A fork should barely pierce them easily.
