Ingredients
- Pizza Ingredients:
- 2 c. cooked, flaked farm raised catfish
- 1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 c. hush puppy mix
- 1 1/2 tsp. butter or margarine, softened
- Tartar Topping (see below)
- Hush Puppy Crust (see below)
- Tartar Topping:
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of onion soup
- 1/3 c. mayonnaise
- 1/4 c. finely chopped dill pickle
- 2 Tblsp. chopped pimiento
- Hush Puppy Crust:
- 1 1/3 c. pie crust mix
- 2/3 c. hush puppy mix
- 4-5 Tblsp. cold water
Directions
Sprinkle half the cheese over the Hush Puppy Crust. Place the flaked fish on top of the cheese. Pour the Tartar Topping over the fish and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Combine hush puppy mix and butter; sprinkle over top of cheese. Bake in a hot oven at 400 deg. for 20-22 minutes. Serve hot. Serves 6.
Hush Puppy Crust directions: In a medium mixing bowl, combine pie crust mix and hush puppy mix. Add water gradually until mixture clings together and can be rolled into a ball. With fingertips, press dough into a lightly greased 12 inch pizza pan.
Tartar Topping directions: 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of onion soup
1/3 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. finely chopped dill pickle
2 Tblsp. chopped pimiento
