Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or shortening
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 tsp.salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Directions
Cream shortening and the sugar together. Pour the egg into the creamed mixture. Beat all together. Sift flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar. Add the sifted ingredients to creamed mixture. Chill for 1 hour. Roll dough into 1-inch balls.Mix the tablespoon of sugar and the tablespoon of cinnamon together. Roll the balls in dish of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Put on cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for at least 10 minutes.
