Ingredients:

1/2 lb. Butter
1 Cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 Tbls. Water

Directions:

Melt butter. Add sugar.

Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Boil until brown. Add vanilla stirring carefully.

Pour unto cookie sheet. Place 4 Hershey bars (pieces) onto hot mixture, let melt then spread.

Sprinkle with finely chopped nuts (walnuts) and then chill.

Break into pieces.

Not known

Better than the boughten toffee bars. Habit forming.
