Mashed Potatoes Recipe

I have done this half a day ahead the last 2 years in a row (when I had Thanksgiving for 18!) by imply keeping them warm in a crock-pot set on low. I get it warm ahead of time by puoring hot water in & setting it on low while I make the potatoes. as soon as their done, I dump the water out & put the potatoes in - they hold really well & don't dry out. Even if not making ahead, I like this just as a way to keep them warm for everyone.
