Ingredients

  • 4 thick pork chops, about 2 1/4 pounds total
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tart medium cooking apples, cored, unpeeled, sliced in rings
  • 1 large onion, peeled, ends removed, sliced in rings

Directions

For this recipe use high or 100 percent power. Trim fat from chops. Mix sugar, salt, pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon in medium bowl and coat chops, both sides and edges, in mixture. Stand upright in a microwave safe loaf pan. Alternate slices of apples and onions between chops. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave 14 to 15 minutes. Wait five minutes before serving. Serves two to four.
