Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. butter or margarine, softened
  • 1-1/2 C. flour
  • 3/4 C. granulated sugar
  • 1 t. baking powder
  • 3/4 C. light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1-10 oz. pkg. semisweet chocolate chunks
  • 2 t. vanilla
  • 1-(3-1/2 oz.) jar macadamia nuts, chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat butter & sugars in a large bowl, with electric mixer at medium speed, until light & fluffy. Beat in eggs & vanilla. Combine flour, powder & salt, add to butter mixture. Stir till well blended. Stir in chocolate chunks & macadamia nuts. Spread evenly into a greased 13x9" pan.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove pan to wire rack, cool completely. Cut into bars.


Yield: about 24 brownies.
