You can also buy ham glaze at the grocery store, just cook ham as above & baste at proper time. Sometimes I skip the cloves and just pour plain honey over the ham instead of the typical glaze.

Ingredients

  • Ham
  • Glaze:
  • 2 tsp. finely shredded orange peel
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard

Directions

If desired, score ham by making diagonal cuts in a diamond pattern. (You don't have to be precise, trust me on this LOL)
Stud ham with cloves & bake at 325F til meat thermometer reads 125F. About 1 1/2 to 2 hours (depends on size of ham, usually 15 minutes a pound)

For glaze, combine ingredients in med saucepan. Cook & stir or medium heat til thickened. Cook & stir 2 minutes more. Brush ham with some of the glaze. Bake 20 to 30 minutes more til meat thermometer reads 135F. Let stand 5 minutes before carving meat temp will rise another 5 degrees while standing. Serve with remaining glaze.
