Ingredients

  • 1-7-1/2 oz. can crab meat
  • 3 green onions, snipped
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 12 mushroom caps, washed and dried
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • Parmesan cheese

Directions

Drain crabmeat and remove cartilage. Mix crab meat with onion and 1/4 of the Parmesan cheese with mayonnaise. Lightly saute' mushrooms caps in butter. Remove from pan and drain. Stuff caps with crab mixture. Place in an ungreased shallow pan. Bake ina 325 degree oven for five minutes. Sprinkle caps with Parmesan cheese and broil for 3 minutes.


Makes 12. I've made these before this way...they were ok...but then i used fresh crab meat and they were awesome! I suggest you use the fresh crab meat, and fresh parmesan that you grate yourself. I also mixed the parmesan cheese with Italian bread crumbs once and sprinkled them atop before broiling...that was good too.
