Acouple of years ago, I too was fairly new at fixing deer meat. This works and you don't get the taste of the buttermilk.

Ingredients

  • Buttermilk
  • Oil
  • Flour
  • Salt & Pepper

Directions

If meat is sliced or can be sliced, not too thin. Take desired pieces of meat and soak over night in buttermilk, this will take out the wild / gamey taste. Heat oil in skillet, wash meat, salt and pepper and roll in flour and fry in pan till brown. (Beating the meat before frying will also tender it)
