Comment: This recipe sounds a little scary

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 4 tsp. root beer extract
  • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
  • Warm wate

Directions

Put the sugar in a gallon jug and add the root beer extract. Dissolve the yeast in a little warm water and add this to the mixture already in the jug. Fill the jug with warm water and put it in the sun or a warm place for 4 hours. Then put it in a cold place to cool. Make sure the mixture remains cool; if the yeast is reactivated, the mixture may explode. Makes 1 gallon.
