These are very good and I make them at Christmas time every year.


  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 4 T. butter
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 4 T. sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 bottle marichino cherries
  • 1 box block chocolate
  • 1/4 cake parafin


Cream butter and sugar together adding milk in small amounts at a time. Add salt and vanilla, mix well. Drain bottle of cherries. Roll cherries in cream mixture, coat each cherry well. Melt chocolate and parafin in pan over boiling water or double boiler. Dip cherries in melted chocolate, one at a time using a tooth pick. Lay on wax paper to cool.
