• 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 4 cups peeled and sliced kiwi (about 12)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • Pastry for 2-crust 9-inch pie


Stir together sugar, tapioca and nutmeg in bowl. Add kiwi and lemon juice. Toss and let stand 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line pie pan with pastry. Dot with butter. Place remaining pastry over top; seal and flute edges. Bake for 45-50 minutes. To prevent over-browning, cover edge of pie with foil for first 20 minutes
