Gratin Asparagus Recipe

Ingredients:
2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt, freshly ground pepper
1 pound slender asparagus, ends trimmed
1/4 cup grated imported Parmesan cheese
1/2 lemon

Directions:
1. Heat oven to 450 degrees. Pour oil into an oval gratin or other shallow baking dish and add some salt and pepper. Add asparagus, turning it to coat with oil.

2. Bake until asparagus is tender and beginning to brown at the edges, 12 to 15 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and squeeze lemon juice over.

Yield: 3 to 4 servings
