Ingredients:

  • 1-1 1/4 lbs. ground beef
  • 1/2c chopped onion
  • 1/4c diced green peppers or chilis
  • 2T chili powder
  • 1/2-3/4t garlic salt
  • 1 can (8oz) refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 1/2c shredded cheese
  • 1/2c sour cream
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • 1 can (8oz) tomato sauce

Directions:
Brown meat, onion, and peppers. Drain. Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder, and galic salt. Simmer while preparing dough. Separate cough by dividing each into two pieces. Press half into 8 or 9 inch squre pan. Combine 1/2c cheese, sour cream, and egg. Mix well. Spoon meat mixture over dough. Then spoon sour cream mixture over meat. Arrange remaing dough on top. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.



My seven brothers loved this stuff and my mom would make a huge batch most Saturdays. It is quite the comfort food
