• 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. melted shortening or oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. flour


Combine all. Put in refrigerator. Knead before making into rolls. Roll out. Spread with butter, sugar and cinnamon. Cut in roll size. In pan on stove, bring to boil 1 stick oleo; 2/3 cup brown sugar and 3 tablespoons white syrup. Pour into 8" or 9" cake pan. Let cool before setting rolls in it. Let rolls rise double in size before baking. Bake at 375 degrees. Let stand 2 minutes. Turn out onto plate.
