This is a great recipe to replace Bisquick. I got it in my Home Economics class over 25 years ago. It still works great.

Ingredients

  • 5 lbs. flour (20 cups)
  • 2 1/2 cups dry milk powder
  • 3/4 cup baking powder
  • 3 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 lbs shortening (4 cups)

Directions

Mix together and use in place of Bisquick or:Pancakes: 3 cups mix, 1 1/2 cups water. Waffles: 3 cups mix, 1 egg, 1 1/2 cups water. Blend.


Makes 29 cups
