Ingredients

  • 15 oz soy sauce
  • 4 or 5 oz liquid smoke
  • steak, boneless ribs, deer meat, etc.

Directions

Mix soy sauce and smoke. Cut meat into strips. Soak in marinade for about 15 minutes. Lay on dehydrator trays. Will take at least 6 hours to dry depending on thickness of meat and type of dehydrator. If you cut your strips thick, they will be chewy. Thin strips will be brittle and crunchier. Also, any meat will work for this. I have used charcoal steaks, ribs and even hamburger(mix enough marinade into beef to make it stick together, then roll out with rolling pin and cut into strips). Leftover marinade will store indefinately in the fridge. Just pour it back into the soy and smoke bottles and put a label on them.
