These are a time consuming project - but well worth the effort if you like peanut butter and chocolate.
Ingredients
- 1 18oz jar crunchy peanut butter
- 1 cup butter
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla (no substitutes please)
- 6 cups rice krispies
- 2 12 oz bag semi sweet chocolate pieces
- 1 12 oz bag milk chocolate pieces
Directions
In large bowl, combine peanut butter, butter, and sugar until smooth. Blend in vanilla. By hand, stir in rice krispies. Shape into golf size balls and place on wax paper. (Refrigerate dough for several hours if too soft). In double boiler, melt chocolate together till smooth. Using a fork, dip each ball into chocolate to coat surface entirely. Place back on wax paper. Let stand till firm, or if desired, refrigerate until firm. Makes approximately 50 peanut butter balls.
