Ingredients

  • 2 bottles dry red wine
  • 1/2 wine bottle water
  • Sugar to taste (about 1/2 cup or less)
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 6 to 8 whole cloves
  • 3 - 4 slices lemon

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a non-reactive pan. (Stainless steel) Bring to boil, lower heat and simmer about 5 minutes. Serve hot. May add more water if desired.
