Sugared Bacon Recipe

  American Appetizer

Ingredients:
1 lb. regular sliced good bacon
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
Honey Mustard or Cinnamon

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Cut each slice of bacon into thirds. Place brown sugar (mixed with cinnamon, if using) in a bowl. If using honey mustard spread one side of bacon with it and then coat each side thoroughly with brown sugar. If using sugar/cinnamon mixed, coat each slice on both sides. Spray cooking spray on a jelly roll pan or cookie sheet. Place the bacon close together on the pan. Bake until crisp 7 sugar is bubbly, about 30-30 minutes. Watch closely as the sugar will burn quickly. Place on wax paper to cool.

These are messy to make, but worth the effort. I have made them days ahead and stored in the frige; then heated a little to bring them to room temperature. They freeze well, but do become a little sticky.
