Cook the sausage along with the margarine, onions, celery and apple, breaking the sausage up as it cooks. Don't drain.In large bowl, toss sausage mixture with the dry stuffing mix until well combined. Pour broth over and again toss until evenly moistened. Butter a 9 x 13-inch baking dish and spoon the dressing in, don't pack down. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. If you prefer to use this to stuff a turkey, for safety, chill the mixture first before stuffing. It will stuff about a 16 pound turkey.
