Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter (smooth or chunky)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

In a large heavy saucepan mix together sugar and milk. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to meduim-high. Cook to soft ball stage. DO NOT over cook,it will make the fudge hard. Use a candy thermometer for best results. Test doneness in a small amount in cold water to form a soft ball. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla. Beat with a spoon until it starts to thicken a little. Pour into a greased 8"x8"x2" pan. Let cool. It will harden as it cools. When completely cooled cut into squares.
