Ingredients

  • @ squares Baker's Unsweetened Chocolate
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • Optional Glaze:
  • 1 square Baker's Unsweetened Chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar

Directions

Melt chocolate with butter over hot water; cool. Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Beat eggs. Gradually add sugar, beating until well blended. Blend in chocolate mixture and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture. Fold in nuts. Spread into greased and floured 8" square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool in pan on wire rack.

For Glaze:
Melt chocolate with 1 tablespoon butter and milk; blend until smooth. Stir in powdered sugar; blend well. Spread over cooled brownies.

For Really Rockie Road Classic Brownie:
Sprinkle still-warm brownies with 2 cups miniature marshmallows. Broil under heated broiler until marshmallows are golden brown. Drizzle with 1 square melted chocolate.
