Ingredients:

2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. applesauce
2 tsp. soda
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
2 c. quick oats
2 c. raisins or chocolate chips
2 c. walnuts
Coconut

Directions:

Cream sugar, shortening and eggs. Add soda to applesauce then to first mixture. Add dry ingredients. Mix well, then add raisins or chocolate chips and nuts, then oatmeal. Mix well until well moistened. Bake at 425 degrees for about 14- 15 minutes.
