• 10 Chicken Halves (cleaned and rinsed)
  • 32oz Bottle Real Lemon Juice
  • 1/8 cup salt
  • 1 stick BUTTER
  • 1 empty washed 2litre plastic drink bottle


Place chickens cavity side down over hot coals in open pit grill. Carefully pierce several small holes in bottle top. Melt butter add Real Lemon and salt. Pour mixture in bottle and shake on chickens while cooking. Turn chickens every 10 to 15 mins. Chickens will be done when joints come apart when pulled. Be careful about flames the butter will flare up sometimes. This is TRUE southern cooking
