Corn Flake Macaroons Recipe

  American Cookie

    




Ingredients:
4 egg whites
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. shredded coconut
3 c. Kellogg's Corn Flakes cereal
Vegetable cooking spray

Directions:
In large mixing bowl, beat whites until foamy. Beat in cream of tartar & vanilla. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff & glossy. Fold in pecans, coconut & corn flakes. Drop by tounded measuring tablespoon onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Bake at 325 for about 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove immediately from baking sheets. Cool on wire racks. Makes about 3 dozen.

Variation: Merry Macarrons: Fold in 1/2 c. crushed peppermint candy with pecans & coconut.
