KIWI PORK MIDORA Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. pork loin, cut into 2-oz. pieces
  • 4 kiwi fruit, peeled
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 oz. white wine
  • 4 oz. Midori liquor, or melon brandy
  • 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 orange peel, sliced
  • 2 oz. vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Flour for dusting

Directions:
Flatten pork slices with a meat mallet. Season pork with salt, pepper, and garlic and dust with flour. Heat skillet with oil and saute pork on both sides. Place 4 slices of pork on 4 serving plates. Slice each kiwi into 4 slices and place a slice on top of each slice of pork. Add liquor to pan and bring to a boil. Mix white wine with the cornstarch and add it to the pan and cook until sauce is clear. Place a slice of the orange peel around the pork chops on the plates and pour the sauce over each plate and serve.

Serves: 4. (Prep and Cooking Time: 20 minutes)
