In order to make this spicy you could eliminate the onion soup and add 1 can of chopped peppers and a little spanish rice spice. Its an old recipe that you can change easily with a little imagination. Add water packed artichokes and some thyme and basil another time for an entirely different taste.Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • Enough chicken parts of your choice to cover a 9x13 casserole
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can water or water and white wine
  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix

Directions

Mix all but the chicken together and pour into the bottom of the casserole. Lay chicken pieces on top. Bake covered for 45-60 minutes, uncover and continue baking 15 minutes or more until the chicken has browned a little.
