• 1 package of firm tofu
  • 1 T. liquid smoke
  • sea salt
  • tamari or soy sauce
  • vegetable oil


Slice tofu on long side into 1/8th to 1/4th inch slices. In teflon skillet add enough oil to just cover bottom and place slices in pan. Sprinkle with sea salt and liquid smoke. Saute over low to med. heat until golden brown, flip and brown on other side. (This takes about 20 minutes or more) After golden brown, sprinkle soy sauce over slices and saute about 4 to 5 minutes more. These are wonderful to make TLT sandwiches, whole wheat bread, mayo, lettuce and tomato. Ymmm, hope you enjoy this.......its one of my favorites
