Ingredients:

  • prime rib roast with chine bone cracked or removed
  • pepper
  • fresh garlic or garlic powder. Not garlic Salt
  • flour

Directions:
Rub garlic on all sides or sprinkle with garlic powder. Pepper all sides. Dust all sides with flour. Do not salt raw meat. Lay in shallow pan bones down and fat side up. Roast uncovered at 500' for 20 minutes. Turn oven down to 325' and continue roasting about 15-18 minutes per pound (total) for rare. Remove from oven at 120' and allow to sit 30 min. before carving. The temperature will go up to about 135'-140
