Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and continue to beat. Mix in dry ingredients - alternating with buttermilk. Mix in gumdrops. Chill dough overnight.Drop rounded spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes. NOTE: I use the AirBake or CushionAire type of cookie sheet to prevent the gumdrops from burning or sticking
