Boiled Icing Recipe

  Canadian Cakes

Ingredients:
1/3 c. water
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 egg white, beaten stiff
1 tb. vanilla

Directions:
Combine water and sugars in med. saucepan. Boil until it spins a thread when poured from a spoon. Add syrup slowly to egg white, beating all the while. Add vanilla. Frost cake while frosting is warm.
