Green Gage Plum Salad Recipe

  Salad

Ingredients:
1(1 lb. 4 oz.) can green gage plums
1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon flavor gelatin
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup slivered toasted almonds
Crsip lettuce cups
Salad dressing

Directions:
Drain juice from plums; add water to make 2 c. liquid. Heat to boiling, pour over gelatin. Add lemon juice and salt; stir to dissolve. Cool until thickened. Pour 2 tblsp. gelatin into each of 6 individual molds or baking cups. Chill until firm. Chill remaining gelatin until syrupy.

Pit and chop plums. Fold with almonds into gelatin. Spoon over clear gelatin in molds. Chill until firm. Serve in lettuce cups with salad dressing.
Makes 6 servings.
