Bruchetta Recipe

  Italian Appetizer

Ingredients:
Loaf Of Crispy Italian Bread (you don't want a mushy,doughy bread, but something crisp.)
Plum Tomatoes
Fresh Basil
Calamata Olives
Fresh Garlic
Bermuda Onion
Optional; Fresh Mozzarella Or Gorgonzola Cheese
Salt And Pepper
Olive Oil
Balsamic Vinegar

Directions:
Chop tomatoes, garlic,onion,basil, olives (optional,and please do not use canned olives, totally different taste). Marinade all ingredients in oil and vinegar, s & p. If cheese is used, either crumble gorgonzola or dice up mozzarella. Slice bread at an angle, what i do is pour olive oil on baking sheet and dip both sides of the bread in it so it will bake nice and toasty. Bake bread for a few minutes in oven, than remove and spoon on topping. Return to over and bake a couple more minutes. If you like it crusty with the cheese bubbly, you may want to quickly broil it, but be sure to watch it so that it does not burn. Buon appettie!!!!
