Ingredients:
"If using canned peaches, add no sugar. Use liquid from canned peaches as part of 1 cup boiling water."2 Tablespoons butter 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar, divided 1 cup flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 3/4 cup milk 2 cups fresh peaches 1 cup boiling water Whipping cream
Directions:
Beat together thoroughly butter, 1/2 cup sugar,flour, baking powder and milk. Pour into buttered 8-or 9-in. square or round baking pan. Mix peaches and 1 cup sugar; spread over batter and pour boiling water over all. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 to 45 minutes. May be served warm or cooled with whipped cream. |
