Toasted Pecans Recipe | |
Appetizer | |
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons butter or margarine1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt Dash hot pepper sauce 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 2 cups pecans
Directions:
Melt the butter or margarine. Stir in the seasonings. Pour over the pecans and mix well. Spread the pecans out in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 300 degrees for about 15 to 20 minutes, stirring often. Ovens may vary so check for crispness after 15 minutes or so. Cook slowly and don't let them burn. This is the basic recipe. Vary the seasonings to suit your taste. Here in the South, we use a lot of pecans. I will submit another favorite (Spiced Pecans) that we also serve.
