Clootie Dumpling Recipe

  Scottish Dessert

Ingredients:
1 lb Self Raising Flour
8 oz Suet
4 oz Breadcrumbs (dark bread)
6 oz Sugar
2 teasp Mixed Spice
1 teasp Ginger
1 teasp. Cinnamon
2 Eggs
1 lb Currants
1 lb Sultanas
2 tablesp Treacle
2 tablesp Syrup

Directions:
Mix all dry ingredients then add treacle, syrup, eggs and either milk or beer to make a soft dropping consistancey. Pour into a bowl and cover with greaseproof paper then tin foil. Boil for 4-5 hours.

After eating drink a double single malt...
