Fruit Cobbler Recipe

  Pies

Ingredients:
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c flour
2 tsp salt
1 scant c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
Cover bottom of well-greased large pan with above
batter. Mix the following and pour on top of batter:
3 c. fruit
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. butter
2 c. boiling water

Directions:
Bake 45 minutes at 400 degrees F or until brown.

In the spring we have lots of blackberries, I'm a little heavyon the sugar with blackberries. With peaches, I measure the sugar like the recipe says. I have never thought of blueberries, but I'm sure it would be GREAT!
