Barbecued Spareribs Recipe | |

Ingredients:
3 pounds spareribs1 medium onion, chopped 1 teaspoon bacon fat or butter 1 teaspoon vinegar 1 teaspoon sugar 3 teaspoons lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup celery, chopped 2 teaspoons salt 1 to 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce Dash of cayenne
Directions:
Wipe spareribs with a damp cloth; cut into serving-size pieces. Place in a shallow baking pan and bake uncovered in a moderate oven(350 degrees F.) for 30 minutes. Cook onion in butter or bacon drippings for 5 minutes; then add remaining ingredients, mix well, and simmer 5 minutes. Pour over spareribs and continue baking for an hour longer, basting the ribs from time to time with the sauce in the bottom of the pan. |
